Respecting Your Turkey's Last Wishes - "Send Me Off in a Gumbo!"

Thanksgiving is but a reflection in our rear view mirrors. Time to procure gifts, tie pretty bows, put up some Christmas lights, and start baking like crazy!

Whoa! Not so fast! If you were smart, you put your turkey's carcass aside in the freezer for some wonderful, future culinary use.

Yeah, if a turkey could dream, it would dream of giving its all by playing a major role in the best gumbo ever! So, give your turkey what it has wanted all its life--a final, proper sendoff.

Every turkey deserves to end it´s life in gumbo. Good post. I have a friend who relocated to Missouri from New Orleans recently. Her turkey gumbo was a hit after T'Day.

Sandy, sounds like a lovely time. There's always next year for a turkey carcass.

Then again, I know you get to make and eat gumbo way more than I do. (Yes, I am jealous!)
