Hot Mulled Pomegranate Juice and a POM Wonderful Giveaway!

Like it or not, the holidays are upon us. Time to eat rich foods and drink lots of booze!

If you're like me, you might need to take a little break from celebrating every once in a while. This mulled pomegranate juice is a perfect alternative to mulled wine and just as festive a way to celebrate the holidays. YUM!


Hot Mulled Pomegranate Juice
1 8oz bottle of POM Wonderful Pomegranate Juice
2 tsp agave nectar
1 Tbsp mulling spices
3 slices of orange (2 for mulling, 1 for garnish)
2 cinnamon sticks (1 for mulling, 1 for garnish)
  1. Pour the pomegranate juice into a small pot.
  2. Add the agave nectar, mulling spices, 2 orange slices and 1 cinnamon stick.
  3. Let simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Strain into a mug and garnish with the remaining orange slice and cinnamon stick.

What a good idea. I really don't like mulled wine too much, or maybe I've never tasted good mulled wine. This sounds much better to me anyway.

I like to boil it down until it's nice and syrupy and pour it over sweet potatoes. YUM.

OK...now I'm following publicly...

and I would use the POM stuff with lime & vodka...'cuz that syrup idea's already taken...although it might make a fine syrup paired w/ chile peppers I think.

Okay...I'm a POM virgin. So I just might have to try it on its own first. We have cranberry champagne at Christmas, so I may mix it up and make some POM champagne with a cranberry garnish.
