Damn the Media

Thanks a lot, media, for the true lack of good info on the Terrebonne and Lafourche areas. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Hey Gal,

I hear ya; I spent the day scouring the 'net, looking for information about landfall, storm surge, flooding, etc.

My Raceland friends relocated to a fairgrounds in Jackson, MS with two horses, three dogs and a passel of in-laws. Unfortunately, there isn't a reliable wireless signal there, so I've been texting and calling them (when there was information available) with updates from Channel 10 (Houma), the National Hurricane Center, etc.

They, meanwhile, parked next to a family from Golden Meadow, who invited them all for supper: fried shrimp, "deer-meat sausage spaghetti", and other tasty treats from home.

I'm disgusted. My buddy, Mr. Mike, eats better during a hurricane than I do on an average Monday night!
